No, not at all! It's not bad. And I don't think it's out of character. Like I said -- I do think there's a part of her that's probably a little thrilled when Lee steps up and decides to be In Control. I'd just never put the term "submissive" to it before.
If you hadn't touched on how she resists it and pushes back against him anyways I would object, but as it stands... It does make sense, and is dictionary-definition accurate (she does submit to him in her own not-so-meek way). This just made me think about the dynamic between them in a different light than I had before.
