Jan. 14th, 2006 01:53 amwell I have officially caught something, thank god none of you can get it through a net connection. Me and the man are doing well, unfortunately no convo tonight cause he was too sick to come online (he lives 269.1 miles away from me) so that actually really sucked.
been reading the book cunt, was apparently the wordwa used by many cultures as a term of respect for learned women, talk about being twisted out!! Next time someone calls me it, I'll simply say thank you! That'll take the wind out of their anger somewhat.
The Vagina Monologues is actually a really interesting look at women, thier lives and attitudes both towards life and their anatomy. Heck I could analyse these books for my final year project as a psychological treatise on feminist issues and the battles women stil face in the world today. Lets face it as Inga Muscio points out nothing aimed at women comes from a woman owned corporation. Anything owned and sold direct to women tends to either a. have a male owned corporation attached at somepoint or is a totally grassroots organisation ad therefore hasn't a chance in hell of having ay kind of sponsorship (she does give a few examples ofgender bias in her book.)A sorry state of affairs I say!
